Spider Solitaire
- Spider is played with 104 cards, either with all Spades, which is the easiest (One Suit), Spades and Hearts (Two Suits) or all four suits which is the hardest rule.
Spider Objective
-
To build cards of descending suit sequence from King to Ace; e.g:
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
within the tableau columns. When such a sequence has been formed, it is automatically removed to one of the eight foundations at the bottom of the screen.
When all 104 cards have been played to the foundations as eight separate King to Ace sequences then the game is won.
-
All building is carried out on the tableau columns.
-
Move any exposed card from the end of a tableau column to another tableau column if it creates a descending sequence. e.g.
on .
-
You may also move a packed descending sequence of cards as a group to another tableau column if it continues the descending sequence but they must all be of the same suit.
-
Empty tableau columns may be filled by any card or a packed descending suit sequence of cards.
-
When no more constructive moves can be made on the tableau, click on the stock to deal another card to each of the tableau columns.
-
You must fill all empty spaces in the tableau before you can deal cards from the stock.

Completion Bonus
When the game is completed, you will receive a bonus calculated in the following way:
Bonus = (End of Game Score / 4) + ((600 - Time Taken) x 25)
The following are the theoretical (zero time taken) maximum scores for each game rule:
Rule 1 - One Suit = 4160 + 6600 + 17,690 Bonus = 28,450
Rule 2 - Two Suits = 6240 + 6600 + 18,210 Bonus = 31,050
Rule 3 - Four Suits = 8320 + 6600 + 18,730 Bonus = 33,650
Assuming a fairly decent completion time of 7 minutes (420 seconds) then the following scores are more likely:
Rule 1 - One Suit = 4160 + 6600 - 420 + 7085 Bonus = 17,425
Rule 2 - Two Suits = 6240 + 6600 - 420 + 7760 Bonus = 20,025
Rule 3 - Four Suits = 8320 + 6600 -420 + 8125 Bonus = 22,625
